Fort Point Media is a film, television and streaming content production house formed in 2018 by New York Times bestselling authors, producers and journalists Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge. Casey co-wrote the bestselling book "The Finest Hours" which became a hit Disney film of the same name starring Casey Affleck and Chris Pine. Casey and Dave wrote "Boston Strong: A City's Triumph Over Tragedy," which was adapted for the hit 2017 film "Patriots Day," starring Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Bacon, Michele Monaghan and John Goodman.

Several of their books are in development for film and TV, including Casey’s 2023 bestseller “Helltown,” which is in development as an Amazon series with Robert Downey Jr. Casey’s new book, “A Murder in Hollywood: The Untold Story of Tinseltown’s Most Shocking Crime,” is in development with Terence Winter (“The Sopranos,” “Boardwalk Empire”).

Dave’s 2022 bestseller “Riding With Evil: Taking Down the Notorious Pagan Biker Gang,” is in development as a feature film.

Dave and Casey’s 2019 book “Ice Bucket Challenge” is in development as a feature film based on a script written by Casey and Dave. Their 2020 bestseller “Hunting Whitey: The Inside Story of the Capture and Killing of America’s Most Wanted Crime Boss,” was adapted for the live stage starring Neal McDonough (“Yellowstone,” “Band of Brothers,” “Captain America”). Their 2019 New York Times bestseller “12: The Inside Story of Tom Brady’s Fight for Redemption,” is in development as a limited series called “The Patriot Way,” with Academy Award-nominated screenwriters Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson and producer Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (“Mazerunner,” “Percy Jackson & The Olympians”).

Fort Point has several other exciting projects in development, including "Coomba," an adventure drama about the world's first extreme skier with a screenplay by Casey and Dave; as well as several other true crime documentaries.

Casey Sherman

Casey Sherman is considered one of America’s premier storytellers and investigative journalists. Sherman worked for two decades as a producer for CBS News where he received the Edward R. Murrow Award for Journalistic Excellence. A graduate of Boston University, Sherman first made international headlines with his historic re-investigation of his aunt’s murder in the notorious Boston Strangler case. He chronicled the work in his groundbreaking first book “A Rose for Mary: The Hunt for the Real Boston Strangler.” Several more books followed including “Bad Blood,” a finalist for the prestigious New Hampshire Literary Prize for Non-Fiction.

Sherman was also the 2010 recipient of the Truth & Justice Award given by the prestigious Cold Case Investigative Research Institute in Atlanta, Ga. Sherman and Wedge’s acclaimed 2015 book “Boston Strong: A City’s Triumph over Tragedy” is on permanent display at the National Crime Museum.

Sherman is also a contributing writer for TIME, The Washington Post, Esquire, Yahoo, and FOX News. Sherman received the 2017 Imagine Magazine Award for his leading role in bringing major film and television productions to Massachusetts.

Dave Wedge

Dave Wedge is a New York Times bestselling author and writer based in Boston. He has co-written five books with acclaimed author Casey Sherman, including “Boston Strong: A City's Triumph Over Tragedy,” a non-fiction drama about the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombings adapted for the 2017 movie “Patriots Day”; “The Ice Bucket Challenge: Pete Frates and the Fight Against ALS” ; “12: The Inside Story of Tom Brady's Fight for Redemption,” a New York Times bestseller; “Hunting Whitey: The Inside Story of the Capture and Killing of America’s Most Wanted Crime Boss”; and “The Last Days of John Lennon,” a New York Times bestseller written with James Patterson. Dave writes for Boston Magazine and has written for VICE, Esquire, and Newsweek. He was an award-winning investigative journalist for the Boston Herald for 14 years, has been a radio host in Boston and has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, E!, Fox News Channel, Good Morning America and many other local and national networks. He and Sherman co-hosted the true crime podcast “Saints, Sinners & Serial Killers.”
